While Congress may be a meeting of the minds, it certainly has its lighter side as well. This year Congress is hosting more than 70 scholarly associations and many of them are putting together exciting cultural events that showcase the Kitchener-Waterloo region. To give you a taste, here’s one that really piqued our interest this week.

It is a scavenger hunt being organized by the Canadian Society for the Study of Education (CSSE), the Canadian Association of Geographers (CAG) and Run for Life. The Crossroads Across the Region Scavenger Hunt involves collecting clues about the educational community and geography of the Kitchener-Waterloo region in teams of two to four people. The hunt, which will take participants through the two campuses, uptown Waterloo and downtown Kitchener, is self-scheduled, so delegates can complete it at their leisure. All of the locations are accessible on foot or by transit. If you like solving clues and sight-seeing, you won’t want to miss it.

For more on amazing aspects of Congress like this, stay tuned to this website and in particular the calendar. Coming soon… you will even be able to save an event you like right into your Outlook calendar, making planning your time with us even easier.
